Essence Eyebrow Designer Pencil Review

July 29, 2015

Once upon a time eyebrows, and the thought of filling them in, positively terrified me. Over the course of my teenage years I deemed my eyebrows to already be too thick so trying to make them thicker seemed ridiculous. This is also resulted in me unevenly over plucking the front portions of my brows, which let me tell you, was not a pretty sight. Fast forward a few years and I finally gave in when hearing that 'eyebrows finish every makeup look' & 'eyebrows are so important... they frame your whole face' one too many times. After much searching for a fool proof eyebrow product that made my brows look well groomed appose to my previous hideous attempts with too warm toned eye shadows, I've found it!

There really isn't an excessive amount to say about this product, as its very straight forward. The shade I have in 04 Blonde which is a cool toned brown/grey, which all though isn't the actual colour of my brows, it compliments them perfectly without being detected. The product is a bit waxy with helps hold your brows in place although you may still need a brow gel- its just personal preference. Overall I am super impressed with this pencil, which you can find at your local target in the little Essence stand for less than $3! For a price like that you really can't go wrong.

The only downfall of this product is the brush that comes on the lid, intended for brushing through your brows to help tame/shape them. Unfortunately it proves to be quite useless, so I like to get a clean spoolie brush - just like a mascara wand, and run it through my brows, it does the best job at combing through them, trust me! And there easy to get your hands on, I got mine for free just asking at the Napoleon Perdis counter. That's about all I have to say on the eyebrow front, but I'm warning you now, once you start filling in your brows you wont be able to stop!
